Meet Romi Russek 👋

Romi is an occupational therapist who has spent her career in complex equipment work, much of it as a dedicated assistive technology consultant. She specialises in complex manual and powered wheelchairs, custom seating, 24-hour postural management and pressure care, and she prescribes on clinical fit, not supplier preference.

She writes high-cost AT applications with the detailed clinical justification the NDIA looks for, and she assesses in the person’s own environment.

Romi can be the treating OT for the full AT process, or work alongside a person’s existing OT or physio on the equipment-specific parts, so they keep the clinician they already trust. Years of training and consulting to other therapists mean that role is familiar ground for her.
